In a significant stride towards excellence in hardwood mass timber solutions, Crosswood proudly announces the successful completion of in-house testing conducted in collaboration with Stiles/Kallesoe Machinery. The focus of this testing was to validate the adhesive bond strength of hardwood yellow poplar boards.

We are honored to be among those awarded funding through the The Community Wood Grant Program, administered by the USDA. This program aims to provide crucial funding for projects installing thermally led community wood energy systems or constructing pioneering wood product manufacturing facilities. In line with the Forest Service's commitment to environmental responsibility, the program emphasizes the use of the most stringent control technologies in renewable wood energy systems.

‍In the dynamic landscape of Mass Timber (MT) construction, a critical challenge has hampered progress – the scarcity of a dedicated Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) manufacturing facility in the Eastern US. This void has posed significant obstacles to construction efficiency, increased costs, and introduced logistical complexities for builders in the region. Addressing this pressing issue, Crosswood is on a mission to establish the inaugural CLT manufacturing facility in Virginia, strategically positioned to cater to this underserved market. This initiative not only aims to alleviate immediate logistical and cost burdens but also seeks to stimulate the growth and acceptance of Mass Timber construction in the region.
